Choose the meeting date and time carefully, especially when members live in different regions. Meetyn stores a single start and end instant together with the organizer's timezone. The invitation displays the viewer's local time and provides the organizer's timezone for reference. Your device settings influence the timezone shown, so travelers should check those settings.
Account for the date as well as the hour
A Friday evening session for one member can be Saturday morning for another. Include a calendar date when proposing a meeting in chat instead of writing only ‘at eight’. If you are close to a daylight-saving change, ask members to confirm the displayed date and time on the invitation before they save it.
Save the agreed event
Attendees can open a Google Calendar or Outlook draft, or download an ICS file. Calendar applications generally display the event using their own timezone settings. Those exports are snapshots: if you change the meeting later, tell attendees to revisit the invitation and update their saved event. Availability comparison and time polls belong to a later phase.
Frequently asked questions
Does Meetyn read everyone's calendar?
No. The current release schedules a fixed time and does not inspect attendees' calendar availability.
Will a calendar export update itself?
No. A downloaded or added event is a snapshot, not a subscribed calendar feed.
Can groups vote on a time?
Create an availability poll and let guests vote without an email address or account. The organizer chooses the final time on the same invitation link.
